GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE (GFE)

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE (GFE) HEALTHCARE ITEMS AND SERVICES UNDER THE NO SURPRISES ACT

The No Surprises Act, which went into effect January 1, 2022, requires healthcare providers to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a healthcare plan or not seeking to file a claim with their plan to provide clients with a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

This does not in any way change what you owe at each session or how you currently pay for services at Be Healthy Nutrition Consulting. You should expect the following from the Good Faith Estimate:

  • The Good Faith Estimate includes an itemized list of expected charges for the services to be provided

  • The Good Faith Estimate will be provided no later than 1 day prior to scheduled services, or may be provided prior to scheduling services

  • If you receive a bill that is $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate you may dispute those charges

For more information about the Good Faith Estimate or your rights under the No Surprises Act please visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
